Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated individual to join our Des Moines Portable Team. This position will be based out of Winterset, IA and will travel around Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska to support multiple plants.

The role involves operating a variety of heavy equipment to move raw materials from pit to plant, with a schedule of 3 days per week and compensation including drive time pay, mileage pay, and a $175 per diem.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience is a plus but will train the right candidate.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader and crane.
• Assist in plant repairs and cleanup.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service on mobile equipment.
• Report needed repairs to shop personnel.
