Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated individual to join our Des Moines Portable Team in Winterset, IA. You’ll operate heavy equipment to move raw materials from pit to plant, with travel across Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska, on a schedule of three days per week.

The role offers competitive hourly pay plus drive time, mileage, and a $175 per diem. Candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid license, with bilingual ability considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience is a plus; training provided.
• Bi-Lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader and crane.
• Assist in plant repairs and cleanup.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance and report needed repairs.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and follow MSHA rules.
• Travel within Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska as needed.
