Job summary

Martin Marietta in the Des Moines area seeks a motivated operator to join the Portable 2 team based in Gilman, IA. The role involves operating plant equipment and assisting with maintenance, production and quality checks, with travel to Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska plants.

We offer an hourly wage with drive time and mileage pay plus $175 per diem when traveling. Requirements include a high school diploma, 1+ year related experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1+ year related experience required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of plant equipment to support production and maintenance.
• Assist Plant Operators with daily duties and cross-train in all plant areas.
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance logs.
• Support loading, shipping and quality control activities.
• Travel to other Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska plants as needed.
