Job summary

Brown & Brown in Maitland, FL is seeking a Financial Operations Audit Analyst to join our Internal Audit team. You will participate in planning, fieldwork, and reporting of Financial Operations across Brown & Brown Profit Centers, with travel to our 200+ decentralized locations.

You will prepare audits, document findings, and ensure quality through self-reviews while coordinating with leadership. This role offers growth opportunities and exposure to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-2 years of accounting or audit experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Good written and effective oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Willing to pursue CPA, CIA, CFE and/or insurance designations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, complete, and review audit sections per programs, including interviewing, obtaining and analyzing information, and communicating test results.
• Document work clearly to support conclusions.
• Perform self-review to ensure quality standards.
• Organize and manage multiple projects and items to meet deadlines.
• Keep Director/Manager and Team Lead informed on status and observations.
• Conduct audit observations re-tests to verify action plans.
