Job summary

Brown & Brown seeks a Financial Operations Audit AI & Automation Specialist to lead modernization of the FOA function in Maitland, FL. You will combine internal audit expertise with data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled auditing techniques to improve efficiency, coverage, and insight.

You will mentor junior staff, manage engagements, and advance methodologies including continuous auditing and automated testing, while partnering with stakeholders to communicate results clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of internal audit, public accounting, or related assurance role.
• Experience modernizing audit with AI, continuous auditing, and automation.
• CPA or CIA preferred or actively pursuing.
• Willingness to travel; minimal.
• Strong collaboration, organizational, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute financial and operational audits per approved plans.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls (SOX/ICFR).
• Draft clear audit observations and practical recommendations.
• Apply data analytics and automation to audit planning and testing.
• Use Power BI, Excel/Power Query, and AI-assisted tools to analyze data.
• Partner with stakeholders to communicate objectives and results.
• Support remediation tracking and follow-up of findings.
• Mentor junior team members and enhance analytics capabilities.
