Job summary

Brown & Brown in Maitland, FL is seeking a Financial Operations Audit AI & Automation Specialist to lead modernization of the FOA function. You will blend internal audit expertise with data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled techniques to improve audit coverage and insights.

You will manage engagements, mentor staff, and advance FOA methodologies, including continuous auditing and automated testing, while partnering with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
4+ years of internal audit or related assurance role.
Experience modernizing audit with AI, automation and continuous auditing.
Strong collaboration, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
CPA or CIA preferred or actively pursuing.
Willing and able to travel; minimal.

Responsibilities

Execute financial and operational audits including planning, fieldwork, testing and reporting.
Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including SOX/ICFR where applicable.
Draft clear audit observations and pragmatic recommendations; support final reports.
Apply data analytics and automation to audit planning and testing.
Use Power BI, Excel/Power Query and AI tools to support audits.
Partner with stakeholders to communicate audit objectives and results to diverse audiences.
Support remediation tracking and follow-up of audit findings.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to improved methodologies.
