Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking a Financial Operations Audit Analyst in Tampa, FL to join our Internal Audit team. You will participate in planning, fieldwork, and reporting on Financial Operations across Brown & Brown profit centers, traveling to decentralized locations as needed.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in accounting or finance with 1–2 years in accounting or audits, strong analytical abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication. CPA/CIA/CFE designations are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of accounting or audit experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Willing to pursue CPA, CIA, or CFE designations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review audits per programs, conduct interviews, analyze information, and report results.
• Document work clearly to support conclusions.
• Self-review completed work to ensure quality.
• Manage multiple projects and items to meet deadlines.
• Keep Director and Team Leader informed on status and observations.
• Conduct audit observations re-tests to verify action plans.
• Create travel arrangements for reviews.
• Mentor new team members of Internal Audit.
• Perform due diligence for potential acquisitions as required.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
