Job summary

Walker-Miller Energy Services seeks a Field Technician to travel to pre-scheduled appointments and install energy efficient equipment for residential and small commercial clients. You will explain incentive programs and ensure customer satisfaction while meeting safety and quality standards.

The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with significant travel and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in basic wiring, lighting, construction, HVAC, or related tech.
• 1–2 years customer service/sales experience.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Experience installing technologies and using tools preferred.
• Knowledge of building science or weatherization is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install energy efficient equipment at scheduled appointments.
• Travel daily to apartments, condos, and other buildings.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to safety standards.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork and records.
• Explain and promote incentive programs to customers.
• Collaborate with team to improve operations year over year.
• Occasional weekend travel may be required.
