Job summary

Veit is seeking a Traveling Heavy Civil/Mission Critical Project Engineer/QC or Field Engineer to manage field logistics and keep project managers and contractors aligned with engineering standards and specifications. You will work with project managers and superintendents to guide operations, oversee logistics, and generate reports for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in construction management/engineering.
• 1–3 years estimating and managing projects or equivalent experience.
• Experience with construction software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specs.
• Clean motor vehicle record required.

Responsibilities

• Manage field logistics and coordinate with project managers and contractors.
• Track productions and develop project activity profiles; monitor costs.
• Prepare change orders and manage trucking logs; approve invoices.
• Develop submittals, RFIs, logs, and meeting follow-ups.
• Attend meetings with clients and project teams; maintain safety and QA/QC plans.
