Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. in Iowa seeks a Traveling Heavy Civil/Mission Critical Project Engineer/QC or Field Engineer to manage field logistics and ensure compliance with engineering standards on mission critical projects.

You will coordinate with project managers and contractors to keep operations aligned with project goals. You will also prepare submittals, change orders, invoicing documentation, and safety plans while traveling extensively to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage field logistics and coordinate with project managers and contractors.
• Prepare, review, and approve supplier purchase orders.
• Understand contracts to manage invoicing and change orders.
• Validate and reconcile quantities for billing and communicate variances.
• Produce project submittals, RFIs, and logs for the lead project manager.
• Lead meetings with clients, owners, and project teams.
• Develop and oversee safety and site-specific requirements.
• Assist with estimating duties including take-offs and bids.
