Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Heavy Civil/Mission Critical Project Engineer/QC or Field Engineer to manage field logistics, coordinate with project managers and contractors, and ensure compliance with engineering standards on mission-critical projects.

This role involves on-site leadership, cost monitoring, permit and safety management, and heavy travel (80%) to job sites. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of estimating and project management experience in related scope and a degree

Responsibilities

• Manage field logistics and coordinate project teams and clients.
• Prepare and manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
• Monitor project costs and ensure work stays within budget.
• Assist with estimating tasks including takeoffs and bid preparation.
• Lead on-site safety observations and ensure site housekeeping.
