Job summary

Nextlink Internet seeks a Traveling Field Installation Technician to join our field operations team. You will travel full-time to customer sites, perform installations, service visits, and on-site troubleshooting, and recover equipment while updating our databases.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong technical ability, tower exposure, safety training, and the willingness to live a two-weeks-out / two-weeks-in schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must pass tower certification training program.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe/acceptable driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Ability to travel and work independently in outdoor environments.
• Must be able to climb towers and perform installations at various heights.

Responsibilities

• Install Internet equipment at customer sites, including mounting and cable runs.
• Perform site surveys to evaluate serviceability and plan installations.
• Diagnose customer problems during service calls and restore service.
• Configure routers and customer devices for Internet access.
• Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers.
• Update databases with service visit details and outcomes.
