Nextlink Internet in Hudson Oaks, Texas seeks a Traveling Field Installation Technician to install and repair Internet equipment at customer sites across multiple states. The role requires two weeks out of market and two weeks in home market, with extensive travel and occasional overnight travel.

You will perform site surveys, install equipment, troubleshoot service calls, and configure routers for customers while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install new customers with Internet service at various locations including mounting equipment at roof height and running cable.
• Perform site surveys to evaluate serviceability and diagnose customer problems during service calls.
• Troubleshoot and restore functional service, on-site and remotely as needed.
• Configure routers and customer devices for Internet access; perform equipment upgrades as required.
• Complete other duties related to installation and maintenance as assigned.

They will travel full time to any of the states we operate in. This role will work a minimum of two weeks “out of market” and will return home to work two weeks “in home market”. The position requires completing customer installations, service visits, on-site troubleshooting, and recovery of equipment.
