Job summary

The Stewart/Perry Company is seeking a traveling Field Engineer to support project teams across the Southeast. This full‑time, jobsite‑based role works with a Project Superintendent to manage field operations, drawings, QC, and documentation on active construction projects.

You will learn field leadership hands-on while collaborating with a Superintendent and coordinating with subcontractors and inspectors to ensure project quality and progress.

• Hands-on training and experience for pursuing a career in field leadership.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications and pull dimensions.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from project drawings.
• Prepare drawing markups, track progress, and identify completed work.
• Assist with quality control to confirm work complies with plans and specs.
• Use project software to manage drawings, documentation, and information.
• Prepare and distribute markups to subcontractors.
• Draft, submit, and track RFIs.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Coordinate and supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
• Identify solutions when drawings or specs lack information.
• Communicate with project inspectors, subcontractors, officials, owners, and visitors.
• Develop and track subcontractor punch lists.
• Attend meetings and assist with minutes.
• Take and review photographs for daily reports.
• Capture 360-degree and aerial images documenting progress.
• Survey elevations using a tripod level.
