Job summary

The Stewart/Perry Company, LLC seeks a traveling Field Engineer to join our project teams. This full-time, jobsite-based role supports the Project Superintendent in managing day-to-day field operations and ensuring project quality and progress.

You will learn how drawings, specifications, subcontractor coordination, and field decisions come together on active projects. You will work with an experienced Superintendent, gaining hands-on training in documenting progress, QC, RFIs, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Previous construction industry, internship, or co-op experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of project management software is a plus.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings and specifications and accurately pull dimensions.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from project drawings.
• Prepare drawing markups, track progress, and identify completed work.
• Assist with quality control to confirm work complies with project plans and specifications.
• Use Bluebeam and other project software to manage drawings, documentation, and project information.
• Prepare and distribute markups to subcontractors.
• Draft, submit, and track requests for information (RFIs).
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Assist with the coordination and supervision of onsite personnel and subcontractors.
• Communicate professionally with project inspectors, subcontractors, public officials, owners, and other jobsite visitors.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
