Kiewit Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer to lead engineering efforts on a major project within the Eastern District. You will report to the Project Manager and serve as the job-site leader for health, safety, reporting, and workmanship.

Primary responsibilities include contract administration, planning, scheduling, and advising on project issues. The role requires travel and relocation as projects span multiple sites in the Northeast.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed.
• 3+ years field construction experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on plans, specs and contract documents.
• Demonstrated ethics, integrity and commitment to safety.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs by measuring and calculating completed/installed work.
• Assist in preparing work plans and work packages.
• Support field surveying and layout, including elevation and control points.
• Assist in compiling daily labor timesheets and project records.
• Assist in preparing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedule work groups on site.
• Supervise field operations and coordinate with project management.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and drafting to support field ops.
• Assist engineers with data for submittals and client communications.
• Assist in purchasing and subcontracting activities as requested.
• Maintain project records and cost reporting data.
• Assist in generating change orders and as-built data.
