Job summary

Rlmus is seeking an experienced fiber splicer to manage day-to-day splicing work with confidence across Michigan. The role requires traveling regularly to multiple cities and a solid working knowledge of fiber construction, troubleshooting, and testing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fiber Splicer in telecom construction.
• Ability to splice, test, and troubleshoot independently.
• Strong understanding of fiber networks, equipment, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting on active and passive networks.
• Complete day-to-day splicing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret fiber plans, splice documents, and network diagrams.
• Use OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment to verify quality.
• Work in outdoor, underground, and aerial environments as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and project records.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, field crews, and clients.
• Travel to job sites across Michigan (company-paid travel).
