Job summary

VC International Inc. is hiring experienced fiber optic splicing technicians for nationwide deployment. The role covers splicing, testing, and documentation with required travel to project sites. You will work at heights, on ladders, and in outdoor environments, with company-paid lodging and per diem during rotations.

Expect to splice both aerial and underground cables, perform fusion splicing, and verify networks using OTDRs and Power Meters. CDL preferred; valid US license required.

Qualifications

• This role requires working at heights and on ladders outdoors.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
• Ability to read plans and document tests accurately.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle to project sites.
• Splice aerial and underground fiber in outside plant (OSP).
• Perform single-fiber and mass fusion splicing.
• Test and certify networks with industry tools.
• Document splice records and results.
• Maintain safety documentation.
• Climb ladders and work on poles.
• Read blueprints and maps.
