Job summary

Congruex is seeking a Traveling Fiber Splicer to install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic systems for aerial and underground networks. You will support construction teams by delivering high-quality fiber installations and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, performing splicing, testing with OTDR and meters, pulling cables, and traveling across locations for multi-week rotations. High emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, specs, and cut sheets to determine work sequence.
• Perform fiber optic splicing, repairs, testing, and certification for aerial and underground systems.
• Install passive and active devices, enclosures, and terminal panels.
• Test fiber optic systems for continuity and signal quality with meters and OTDR.
• Pull fiber optic cable through ducts using manual, mechanical, or blowing methods.
• Splice and activate underground and aerial fiber optic cables.
• Travel for extended periods to support projects.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and regulations.
