Job summary

Congruex is seeking a Traveling Fiber Splicer to install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic systems for aerial and underground networks. You will support construction teams by delivering high-quality fiber installations while ensuring safety and efficiency across projects.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in fiber optic splicing, experience with OTDR and fiber testing equipment, and the ability to travel regularly across locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of fiber optic splicing experience.
• Experience with aerial and underground fiber optic construction.
• Experience using OTDR, light meters, and fiber testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets to determine work sequence.
• Perform fiber optic splicing, repairs, testing, and certification for aerial and underground systems.
• Install passive and active devices, enclosures, and terminal panels.
• Test fiber optic systems for continuity and signal quality using light meters and OTDR equipment.
• Pull fiber optic cable through ducts and conduit using manual, mechanical, or blowing methods.
• Splice and activate underground and aerial fiber optic cable systems.
• Travel as needed to support projects across locations.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and regulations.
