Job summary

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is seeking a Facilitator to support its 20 Clubs Executive Networking Groups. This role leads up to ten groups, traveling to about twenty multi-day meetings annually, guiding productive discussions and ensuring adherence to program policies.

As NAHB's primary on-site representative, you will coordinate with meeting-planning staff and serve as liaison among members, hotels, vendors, speakers, sponsors, and partners to deliver high-level meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, business, association management, organizational development, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently for multi-day meetings (~20 annually).
• 4–6 years in member services, program or meeting management, or related roles.
• Proven experience facilitating meetings with senior executives and volunteers.
• Ability to guide discussions, manage differing viewpoints, and maintain neutrality.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and confidential information handling.
• Capable of independent work and handling heavy workloads with deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, relationship-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with program policies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate assigned 20 Club meetings with chairs, hosts, and volunteers.
• Guide discussions among business owners and senior executives while staying neutral.
• Develop meeting agendas addressing member needs and education opportunities.
• Coordinate meeting prep and follow-up, including minutes and action items.
• Oversee on-site logistics with hotels, venues, transportation, and speakers.
• Arrange group dinners and schedule speakers and sponsors per policies.
• Address issues during meetings and escalate significant matters as needed.
• Represent NAHB and connect members with resources and experts.
• Protect confidentiality and maintain program integrity with stakeholders.
• Contribute to team planning and continuous-improvement efforts.
