Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our telecom construction crew and travel across Arizona and surrounding states. Crews rotate to new project locations approximately every four weeks.

You will safely operate CAT 308 mini excavator, work around utilities, assist with conduit and cable installation, and support crews with earthwork while maintaining safety and production standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of excavator experience in civil construction, roadbuilding, or utilities.
• Experience with fiber optic or underground utility installation is a strong asset.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret utility locates.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CAT 308 mini excavator for earthwork and civil construction.
• Excavate around underground utilities following locate procedures.
• Place soil and aggregates in lifts for proper compaction.
• Read drawings and interpret utility locates.
• Support conduit placement and cable installation to maintain production.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily goals.
