Job summary

Ledcor Group is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our telecom construction crews. The role involves traveling throughout Arizona and surrounding states, operating a CAT 308 mini excavator on civil, utility or roadbuilding projects, and supporting crews with conduit placement and site safety.

Rotations occur roughly every four weeks across Arizona and neighboring areas. Responsibilities include underground utility work, material placement for compaction, daily equipment checks, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of excavator experience in civil construction, roadbuilding, utility construction or related industry.
• Experience with fiber optic or underground utility installation is a strong asset.
• Strong understanding of backfill, lift thickness, soil conditions, moisture, and compaction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a CAT 308 mini excavator for civil construction and earthwork activities
• Safely excavate around underground utilities following locate and safe-dig procedures
• Place soil and aggregate in lifts to allow proper compaction
• Read drawings and interpret utility locates
• Support conduit placement and cable installation to keep production moving
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Assist with hands-on labor and crew support as needed
• Communicate with crew and supervisors to maintain safe, efficient production and meet daily goals
