Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to support telecom construction projects across Arizona and surrounding states.

You will operate a CAT 308 mini excavator, excavate around utilities, and assist crews with conduit placement on rotating project sites. The role requires a minimum of 5 years in civil construction or related fields, with a strong safety mindset and the ability to read utility drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years excavator experience in civil construction, roadbuilding or utilities.
• Experience with fiber optic or underground installation is a strong asset.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret utility locates.
• Strong understanding of safe digging practices and job site safety standards.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT 308 mini excavator safely for civil construction and earthwork.
• Excavate around underground utilities following locate and safe-dig procedures.
• Place soil/aggregate in lifts to support compaction.
• Understand soil types and moisture effects on compaction.
• Assist with conduit placement and cable installation to keep production moving.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
