Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our civil, utility, and roadbuilding teams across Arizona and surrounding states. You’ll operate CAT 308 mini excavators, read drawings, and work safely around underground utilities with rotations to new locations approximately every four weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of excavator experience in civil construction, roadbuilding or utility work.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret utility locates.
• Strong knowledge of safe digging practices and site safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT 308 mini excavator for civil construction and earthwork tasks.
• Excavate safely around underground utilities following locate procedures.
• Place soil and aggregate in lifts suitable for compaction.
• Support conduit placement and cable installation to maintain production.
• Complete daily inspections and perform basic maintenance checks.
• Provide hands-on labor and crew support, maintain a team-first mindset.
• Communicate clearly with crew and supervisors to meet daily goals.
