Cable Services Company Inc. in Scranton, PA is seeking an Equipment Operator skilled with Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Loader, and Dozer to support underground utilities projects across the Northeast.

This traveling role requires performing equipment operation, inspections, utility locate work, trenching, and safe handling of materials. Candidates must be comfortable overnight travel, lifting up to 50-80 lbs, and following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans, and specifications
• Knowledge of utility depths and placements
• General knowledge of construction practices
• Ability to move materials/equipment weighing up to 80 pounds
• Able to work 5-7 days a week, 10+ hours a day when necessary
• Willing to travel and stay away from home for extended periods

Responsabilités

• Load and unload equipment in a manner that is secure and damage-free
• Transport associated tools, materials, and/or equipment safely
• Complete a daily inspection of equipment prior to commencing work
• Operate equipment to assist in placing underground utilities
• Locate existing underground utilities and verify them according to blueprints
• Dig pits, trenches, or potholes as required
• Restore/disturb areas of the jobsite
• Complete required documentation (timesheet, vehicle log, expense report)
• Adhere to safety policies and work safely
• Perform other duties to help the team complete projects
