Job summary

Cable Services Company Inc is seeking an Equipment Operator capable of handling hydraulic excavators, skid loaders, and dozers for underground utility projects. The role involves extensive travel to various sites, including overnight stays, and adherence to safety standards.

You will inspect equipment daily, coordinate with crews, and assist in placing conduit and utilities while documenting activities and maintaining records. A Class A CDL and physical ability are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans, and specs.
• Must be able to operate hydraulic excavation equipment and related gear.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home for extended periods.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment safely and efficiently.
• Transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
• Conduct daily pre-work equipment inspections.
• Operate excavators, skid loaders, and dozers to place underground utilities.
• Identify utilities, verify with blueprints, and ensure trench/bores accuracy.
• Complete required job documentation (timesheets, logs, reports).
• Adhere to safety policies and work in varying weather conditions.
