Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator for Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Steer Loader, and Dozer to join our crew.

This traveling position operates at multiple project sites across the Northeast; candidates should expect extended stretches away from home, including weeknights. You will load and unload equipment, perform daily inspections, locate utilities, trench and backfill, and maintain safety, documentation, and quality on varied underground utility projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans and specs.
• Experience operating hydraulic excavators, skid loaders, and dozers is preferred.
• Ability to work in varying weather and loud environments.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment safely.
• Transport tools, materials, and equipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections.
• Operate equipment to assist in laying underground utilities.
• Locate utilities and verify with blueprints.
• Dig pits, trenches, or potholes as required.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and complete required paperwork.
