Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator — Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Loader, and Dozer to join our crew in the Lancaster area.

This is a traveling position across the Northeast; crews work at multiple job sites with extended overnight stays expected. You will operate hydraulic excavation equipment for underground utilities construction, perform pre-job inspections, locate utilities, trench and bore, and complete required paperwork while maintaining safety standards.

Formación

• Read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of utility depths and placements.
• General knowledge of construction practices.
• Ability to work in trenches, excavations and manholes.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Move materials/equipment weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Manage multiple tasks with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work 5-7 days a week, 10+ hours a day when necessary.
• Willing to work outside in varying weather conditions.
• One year of Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Loader, and Dozer experience.
• Class A CDL (preferred)
• Must be willing to travel with overnight stays.

Responsabilidades

• Load and unload equipment in a secure, damage-free manner.
• Transport tools, materials, and equipment safely.
• Complete daily equipment inspections before work.
• Operate equipment to assist in placing underground utilities with the crew.
• Adhere to company and industry standards while operating equipment.
• Locate and verify existing underground utilities per blueprints.
• Identify utilities in construction areas and bore paths.
• Connect/stub-up conduit and wire as required.
• Dig pits, trenches, or potholes including windows when crossing utilities.
• Restore disturbed areas after work.
• Complete required documentation (timesheets, vehicle logs, expense reports).
• Follow safety policies and perform work safely.
• Perform other duties to help complete projects.
