Job summary

Adecco Portugal seeks an Electrical Transit Trainer to deliver virtual, on-site and hands-on training for electric buses and trucks. Expect 50%–75% travel to transit agencies, depots, and sites across the United States to support lesson development and instructor-led activities.

The role requires expertise in electric vehicle systems, battery management, charging infrastructure, and safety protocols. Strong communication is essential to explain complex concepts to mixed-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience with electric transit buses, including electrical systems, propulsion, battery management, and charging systems.
• Experience in technical training or mentoring is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-person technical training sessions on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electric transit buses.
• Develop, update, and enhance training materials and manuals for entry-level and advanced learners.
• Provide on-site support and troubleshooting during training events and address participant questions.
• Conduct live demonstrations of bus systems, diagnostic tools, and safety protocols.
• Monitor learner progress through assessments and provide feedback and additional support as needed.
• Coordinate travel schedules and logistics for training assignments.
• Ensure training sessions comply with safety standards and local regulations.
