Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover scheduling gaps across stores in the district. You will oversee pharmacy teams, ensure safe dispensing, immunizations, and regulatory compliance. The role requires travel within the district and collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager.

This part-time DSP position emphasizes patient-centered care, team leadership, and maintaining high clinical and regulatory standards in a retail pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC).
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Coaching the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care and resolve insurance and/or medication issues.
• Delivering immunizations and supporting technicians to learn immunization techniques.
• Managing pharmacy inventory with focus on cold chain protection across all sites.
