Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover schedule gaps across the district, supporting store pharmacies with leadership and patient care.

In this role you will travel within the district to fill shifts, supervise pharmacy operations when needed, and help the team deliver safe, compassionate care including immunizations, counseling, and accurate dispensing. This part-time role requires travel and flexibility to meet district needs.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing and counseling.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts; oversee the pharmacy during shifts.
• Support safe prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by coaching the pharmacy team in compassionate care.
• Delivering immunizations and training Pharmacy Technicians to immunize as well.
• Managing pharmacy inventory and protecting cold chain products across stores.
• Maintaining compliance with federal/state laws, CVS policies and patient privacy.
