Job summary
CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to travel within the district and cover pharmacist scheduling gaps while supporting pharmacy teams under the Pharmacy Manager. You will help ensure safe dispensing, accurate prescriptions, and exemplary patient care across stores.
The role emphasizes clinical care delivery, immunizations, inventory management, and adherence to laws and CVS Health policies.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in the state where the Store is located.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
Responsibilities
- Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Assist in covering pharmacist scheduling gaps and support the Pharmacy Manager and district leadership.
- Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
- Serve as Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts when needed.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating compassionate care and coaching the team.
- Support immunization delivery and counseling.
- Assist with inventory management and cold chain protection across pharmacies.
