Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps, travel across the district, and support store pharmacies. You will assist the Pharmacy Manager, oversee operations, and ensure safe dispensing, counseling, and immunization services across stores.

You will travel within a reasonable radius, mentor staff, maintain compliance, and help provide pharmacist-led clinical care, including testing and prescribing where permitted.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled and overseeing the pharmacy as proxy for the Pharmacy Manager.
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following standard workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist on duty.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by coaching the team to deliver compassionate care and resolve insurance issues.
• Engaging in and supporting immunizations to keep patients healthy and expand clinical services where permissible.
