Job summary

Cable Services Group is seeking a Directional Bore Operator / Locator to join our crew. The position covers the Northeast region with extensive travel and multiple nights away from home. Local assignments are possible but rare.

Responsibilities include setting up and completing bore paths for conduit, gas, water, and sewer installations, locating utilities, and ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL is required.
• 1 year of directional bore experience preferred.
• U.S. resident only.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload bore equipment securely and damage-free.
• Transport tools, materials and equipment safely.
• Conduct daily inspection of bore equipment prior to work.
• Prepare drill fluid based on site conditions before boring.
• Operate horizontal directional drill and locate cables per blueprints.
• Identify utilities and verify bore paths.
• Dig pits, trenches or potholes as needed and restore disturbed areas.
• Complete timesheets, vehicle logs and expense reports according to policy.
