Job summary

Cable Services Group is seeking a Directional Bore Operator / Locator to join our crew in the Greenville area. This traveling role requires you to be away from home for extended periods, with weekly travel and hotel accommodations provided.

You will perform set-up and bore path completion for conduit, gas, water, and sewer projects, and aid the bore crew with locating utilities and placing cables. The ideal candidate has experience reading engineering prints, knowledge of utility depths, and the

Qualifications

• One year or more of directional bore experience preferred; telecom field in particular is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints and blueprints.
• CDL Class A license is required or must be obtainable per job postings and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport bore equipment safely.
• Perform daily inspections of bore equipment before starting work.
• Locate/operate directional drill and place cables with back reamers and bore heads.
• Manage utilities information, verify locations against blueprints, and ensure safe work practices.
• Travel weekly; company covers hotel expenses (shared room) and per diem.
