Job summary

Cable Services Group in Dorset Township, OH is seeking a Directional Bore Operator / Locator to join our crew. This traveling role requires you to work job sites throughout the Northeast, with extended nights away from home.

You will operate directional drill equipment, locate utilities, install conduit, and document work orders while adhering to safety policies. The position demands mechanical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to move and assemble equipment in varied weather and

Qualifications

• One year of directional bore experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints.
• Comfort with reading blueprints and utility depths.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload bore equipment securely and efficiently.
• Transport tools and materials to job sites safely.
• Inspect bore equipment daily before starting work.
• Prepare drill fluid based on site conditions.
• Locate/operate the directional drill and place cables using bore heads.
• Operate horizontal directional drill in accordance with standards.
• Verify cable locations per blueprints; identify utilities.
• Connect/stub conduit and wire; dig pits or trenches as needed.
• Restore disturbed areas and complete documentation (time sheets, logs).
• Follow safety policies and perform duties to help project team.
