Job summary

Cable Services Company is seeking a Directional Bore Operator / Locator in Andover, MN. The role involves setting up and operating directional drill equipment to install cables while verifying utility locations and depths. You will read plans, work with a bore crew, and perform trenching, backfilling and site restoration as required.

Expect to travel weekly with hotel accommodations provided and per diem. A Class A CDL is preferred, and candidates should be able to work in varying weather and

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of utility depths and placements.
• Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks.
• Able to work 10+ hours in a day when necessary.
• Weekly travel with hotel expenses and per diem provided.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload directional bore equipment securely.
• Transport tools, materials and equipment safely.
• Inspect bore equipment daily before starting work.
• Locate/operate directional drill to place cables per plans.
• Dig pits, trenches or potholes, including windowing when crossing utilities.
• Restore disturbed areas and document work per company standards.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform tasks safely.
• Collaborate with bore crew to complete projects on schedule.
