Job summary

Waccamaw Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants across all locations. You will greet patients, collect intake information, perform point-of-care testing, assist with surgeries, scribe in the EMR, and prepare rooms.

The role requires travel to Myrtle Beach, Conway, Pawleys Island and other sites, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent patient service. Fluent English and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant experience in high-volume medical setting preferred.
• Certification CMA/AAMA/RMA/CCMA or EMT is appreciated.
• Scribing in the exam room for the Provider is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist during dermatological procedures and surgeries, set up and sterilize instruments.
• Take patient histories and vital signs, greet patients and coordinate care.
• Document in EMR and communicate aftercare instructions to patients.
