Job description

Base pay range

$30.00/yr - $40.00/yr

Pay Rate: $30/hr - $40/hr

Shift Structure

• Working 7 AM to 7 PM Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday
• Each person will work in their home site for 3 weeks, followed by 3 weeks in their travel site, and so on

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years experience as a Data Center Technician
• Extensive experience with cabling, racking and stacking
• Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and networking components
• Positive attitude, adaptable, willingness to learn and be flexible to shifts in work
• Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to safety guidelines and parameter

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working as a data center technician building out net-new sites

Job Description

The Mobilization Deployment Team is tasked with the physical deployment of network infrastructure across various locations. The intent is to ensure that all installations are completed accurately and efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Device Installation: Installing devices as per the deployment plan, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
• Cabling: Completing all cabling work required for the deployment, including installation and configuration.
• Logistics Support: Providing logistical support for locating and managing gear as needed.

Troubleshooting

• Fiber
• Copper
• Serial port connections
• Drive replacements
• Memory swaps

Hardware Scope

• Rack n Stack
• Basic hardware configs / command line work through serial or remote
• SSH sessions
• Putty sessions

Networking

• Installing routing or switching equipment
• Troubleshooting down links physically or logically
• Media swaps like GBIC, MPO interfaces, LC and SC ports & verifications
• Loop Back practices
• Cleaning media like fiber
• Enterprise ticketing systems like SNOW or Remedy or similar
• Ticket ownership and resolution
