Job summary

TEKsystems seeks experienced Level 2 Data Center Technicians to join a deployment team supporting a large-scale fiber infrastructure upgrade across multiple data centers nationwide. You will be on-site for the initial 6-8 weeks, helping establish processes, procedures, and best practices.

Responsibilities include replacing legacy coax cabling with fiber, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring projects are set up for long-term success before transitioning work to ongoing installation

Qualifications

Experience in data center operations and fiber cabling environments.
Willingness to travel nationwide up to 75% of the time.
Strong troubleshooting skills for connectivity issues.
Experience replacing legacy coax cabling with fiber is a plus.

75% nationwide travel, 25% local data center support. Seeking experienced Level 2 Data Center Technicians to join a specialized deployment team supporting a large-scale fiber infrastructure upgrade across multiple data center locations nationwide. This team will serve as the first wave on-site, helping establish processes, procedures, and best practices during the initial 6-8 weeks of each project. Responsibilities include replacing legacy coax cabling with fiber, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring projects are set up for long-term success before transitioning work to ongoing installation teams. Between travel assignments, technicians will support operations within their local data center market. This role is ideal for candidates who can quickly step into complex environments, work independently, and contribute from day one.
