Job summary

Syncreon is seeking a Shift Manager for nationwide data center deployments. You will lead a traveling team across the United States to set up data centers, directing supervisors and hourly staff, coordinating logistics, and ensuring safe, efficient shift execution.

The role requires approximately 90% nationwide travel, extended overnights, and flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication and ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in warehousing, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or project setup with at least two years leading teams.
• Experience directing shift operations, coordinating supervisors or leads, planning labor and performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and warehouse or enterprise systems; maintain accurate operational records.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct daily shift activities against labor plans, priorities, and project schedules; ensure staffing and resources are ready.
• Lead Operations Supervisors and Warehouse Leads; delegate, coach, and verify work.
• Contribute to hiring decisions and HR collaboration.
• Coordinate unloading, receiving, staging, inventory movements, rack/tower assembly and placement, and installation support.
• Adjust staffing to address absences, workload changes, and delays; escalate beyond authority.
• Lead shift startup meetings and ensure staff understanding and training.
• Monitor labor utilization, productivity, inventory accuracy, and milestones; investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
• Reinforce safety, PPE usage, and safe handling; stop unsafe work and coordinate with Health and Safety.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Training, and SAP/ERP to maintain standard work and traceability.
• Communicate progress with clients and internal teams; escalate scope changes appropriately.
• Oversee time and attendance; support breaks, leave, accommodations, and scheduling with HR; address payroll discrepancies.
• Address employee concerns with HR; document and report separations as required.
• Support deployment readiness and travel planning with Travel team; follow travel and expense procedures.
• Provide documented shift handoff and lessons learned for next deployment.
• Support project closeout and material reconciliation; capture lessons learned.
