Job summary

Salute is seeking a Data Center Travel Technician to support hyperscale clients across the United States. You will travel to client locations, install racks, prepare equipment, and ensure cable management and asset tracking are up to date.

The role requires experience in data centers, willingness to travel, strong project coordination, and the ability to coordinate vendors and teams. Shift patterns are typically 12-hour shifts, 3-4 days a week, with field responsibilities and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Centers or co-location environments managing hardware assets.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods.
• Proven ability to manage tasks under tight deadlines in projects.
• Experience coordinating vendors and asset management systems.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day operations at the Data Center.
• Travel to contracted areas to install racks, enclosures, and prepare equipment.
• Update cable management and asset tracking systems.
• Execute projects and coordinate with teams to meet timelines.
• Provide project status updates to stakeholders.
• Assist with capacity planning for space, power, data, and cooling.
• Manage vendor resources and coordinate delivery and testing.
• Install and test copper/fiber cabling from demarcation to data center whitespace.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in data center environments.
• Adhere to applicable standards and best practices.
