Project Executive – Mission Critical Data Centers (Traveling)

Vertex Integration Partners has been exclusively retained to identify a Traveling Project Executive to lead large scale Mission Critical Data Center electrical projects across the United States. This is a confidential search on behalf of one of the most respected electrical contractors in the country.

This opportunity is ideal for a senior construction executive who has successfully delivered hyperscale or enterprise data center projects and is ready to oversee major electrical scopes on some of the largest mission critical builds in North America.

Position Overview

The Project Executive will provide executive leadership and full operational oversight of large scale mission critical electrical projects across multiple regions. This role will have full P and L responsibility while leading project teams delivering complex hyperscale data center developments.

The position requires extensive experience managing high density electrical infrastructure including substations, medium voltage distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and large scale commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of large scale hyperscale and enterprise data center electrical projects across multiple regions
• Maintain full P and L responsibility including forecasting, cost controls, margin protection, and risk mitigation
• Lead Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and field leadership teams on major mission critical builds
• Serve as the primary executive point of contact for hyperscale clients and General Contractors
• Drive schedule performance while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and execution
• Oversee procurement strategy for long lead electrical equipment including medium and low voltage gear
• Lead contract strategy, change order management, and commercial negotiations
• Support national business development initiatives within the Mission Critical division
• Mentor and develop high performing project teams across multiple project locations

Required Experience

• 15 plus years of electrical construction experience
• 5 plus years in a senior leadership role overseeing large scale mission critical projects
• Strong understanding of medium voltage distribution, substations, generators, UPS systems, EPMS, and commissioning processes
• Demonstrated experience managing GMP and Design Build delivery models
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively to support projects across the United States
