Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive schedule adherence and ensure quality and safety excellence.
• Oversee procurement strategy for long lead equipment including MV and LV gear.
• Manage change order strategy and contract negotiations.

• Develop succession planning and mentor high performing project teams.

Project Executive – Mission Critical Data Center

Vertex Integration Partners has been exclusively retained to identify a Project Executive to lead large scale Mission Critical Data Center projects in the Saint Louis market. This is a confidential search on behalf of one of the most respected electrical contractors in the United States.

This opportunity is ideal for a senior level construction leader who has successfully delivered hyperscale or enterprise data center projects and is ready to oversee high revenue electrical scopes in a fast growth region.

Position Overview

The Project Executive will have full P and L responsibility and executive oversight of complex, multi hundred million dollar mission critical electrical projects. This individual will provide strategic leadership across operations, client engagement, financial performance, and team development.

The role requires deep experience in mission critical environments, including high density electrical infrastructure, substations, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive oversight of large scale Mission Critical Data Center electrical projects
• Full P and L ownership including forecasting, cost controls, risk mitigation, and margin protection
• Lead Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and field leadership teams
• Serve as primary executive liaison to hyperscale clients and General Contractors
• Drive schedule adherence and ensure quality and safety excellence
• Oversee procurement strategy for long lead equipment including MV and LV gear
• Manage change order strategy and contract negotiations
• Support business development efforts within the Saint Louis mission critical market
• Develop succession planning and mentor high performing project teams

Required Experience

• 15 plus years of electrical construction experience
• 5 plus years in a senior leadership role overseeing large mission critical projects
• Strong understanding of medium voltage distribution, substations, generators, UPS, EPMS, and commissioning processes
• Demonstrated experience managing GMP and Design Build delivery models
• Track record of maintaining strong client relationships in hyperscale or enterprise environments
