Job summary

McCownGordon Construction seeks a proactive project leader to oversee field operations on medium to large-scale projects. You will train and mentor team members, refine construction schedules, and ensure work aligns with plans and budgets. The role emphasizes safety culture and stakeholder collaboration.

You will manage preconstruction planning, site mobilization, and coordination with trade partners, while maintaining quality and compliance across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry.
• Proven ability to accurately schedule construction activities or projects.
• Demonstrated success in effectively managing safety on projects.
• Language Skills: ability to read, analyze and interpret contract documents and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, leads, manages or supports field operations for medium to large scale projects.
• Trains and mentors associates assigned to project team.
• Develops and manages overall construction schedule(s).
• Reviews trade partner scopes of work and contracts prior to finalization.
• Manages and implements project safety plan and conducts regular safety walk-throughs.
• Leads preconstruction planning meetings and site mobilization planning.
• Manages budget, schedule, and unit tracking; ensures work meets plans and specifications.
