Job summary

Layton Construction Company seeks a Project Scheduler to collaborate with the Project Team, ensuring CPM schedules meet project controls standards from estimate to completion.

You will interface with estimating, design, and construction teams to manage quantity, cost, and schedule. Responsibilities include CPM scenarios, data forecasting, and training on scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MSP, with site travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3–8 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management System.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CPM scenarios for management and integrate into the schedule.
• Accumulate historical and forecast data for realistic planning.
• Develop an understanding of project scopes and contracts.
• Communicate with Owner to assure customer satisfaction or implement corrective action when needed.
• Provide scheduling analysis for delays and impacts to identify and mitigate project risk.
• Ensure project teams are aware of risks relative to schedule and delay.
• Provide oversight and notifications to management of schedule concerns.
• Participate in project pursuits and prepare fee proposals, RFP responses, presentations.
• Document schedule basis with critical assumptions for internal use, GMPs and Owner documentation.
• Conduct monthly schedule project audits.
• Develop or assist in training Project Managers and Superintendents on scheduling software.
• Support a positive and inclusive work environment.
