Actalent in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to perform field sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt. You will document activities daily and coordinate with project teams.

This role requires lifting 50–75 pounds, outdoor work, and flexibility for extended hours. Candidates should have at least 2 years in construction materials testing and certifications such as ACI Field Testing.

• Provide clear documentation of field activities entered daily in electronic format.
• Work with project team and lead technicians to ensure project specifications are followed.
• Assist with the training and mentoring of junior staff, as needed.

Job Title: Traveling Construction Materials Technician

Job Description

The successful candidate will effectively communicate with project personnel, materials technicians, clients, and contractor representatives regarding construction activities, project requirements, testing, observation, and inspection needs and results. The technician will transport samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis and prepare and submit electronic daily test and observation reports. This role offers in-depth technical training and industry certifications based on experience and skill level. Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
