Job summary

Modern Construction Services is hiring a Commercial General Superintendent to run on-site construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain schedule integrity on complex projects. This road-warrior role requires delivering high-quality work and strong leadership from day one, with extended site stays.

The candidate will oversee safety, quality, and coordination across trades, report to the President of Construction, and travel as project needs demand.

Qualifications

• Ten years minimum experience as a superintendent or general superintendent on commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and subcontractor management.
• Proficient with Procore and Microsoft Project for field and project controls.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to lead field teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site construction activities and ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and docs.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trades, schedule activities, and oversee performance.
• Lead project closeout: punch lists, inspections, and turnover docs.
