Job summary

Modern Construction Services seeks an experienced General Superintendent to lead commercial projects on-site across various sites. The role requires running the job from start to finish, coordinating subcontractors, controlling quality, and keeping schedules on track.

This road-warrior position involves extensive travel with on-site presence throughout project lifecycles and a focus on accountability and high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a construction superintendent or general superintendent in commercial construction.
• Experience managing other superintendents and coordinating with project managers.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily on-site construction activities in line with drawings, specs, and documents.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trade partners, ensuring safety and quality.
• Develop and maintain the three-week look-ahead schedule; manage overall project schedule.
• Oversee punch list and project closeout, ensuring documentation and turnover items are complete.
• Report progress to the President of Construction and the Project Manager; maintain on-site professionalism with clients and inspectors.
